About BIOS ROM file
upgrade
We do not recommend user to update the BIOS,
unless you have trouble with your system. There
is possibility to crash the system during the
BIOS update process.
Normally, BIOS update will not make the system
run faster.

BIOS upgrade procedures
- Download the new BIOS ROM file and upgrade
utility - AMIFLASH.EXE, from our Web site or
FTP site.
PS1. : Each BIOS file is compressed.
PS2. : Execute the file and the BIOS
would de-compress itself.
- Turn your machine ON and boot into DOS mode
without CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT.
- Execute AMIFLASH.EXE to de-compress the real
upgrade utility - FLASH818.EXE, and then to
execute
- FLASH818.EXE under DOS prompt.
- Input the BIOS ROM file name, and then follow
the instructions showing on the screen to complete
the upgrade procedures.
- Reset the system and pre `Delete` key to enter
CMOS setup screen.
- Select and load the Auto Configuration with
Optimal Settings.
- Save and reset system.

Award BIOS upgrade procedures
- Download the new BIOS ROM file and upgrade
utility - AWDFLASH.EXE, from our Web site or
FTP site.
PS1. : Each BIOS file is compressed.
PS2. : Execute the file and the BIOS
would de-compress itself.
- Turn the machine on and boot into DOS mode
without CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT.
- Execute AWDFLASH.EXE under DOS prompt.
- Input the new BIOS ROM file name, then enter.
- User will get an error message: "Do You
Want To Save BIOS (Y/N)?". Press "N"
if you do not want to save the old Bios ROM
to file.
- User will get another error message: "Are
you sure to program ?". Press "Y"
for upgrading.
- Reset the system while you have completed
upgrade.
- Press "Delete" to enter CMOS setup
menu. User may seect "LOAD SETUP DEFAULTS"
and press "Y" to confirm.
- User may select "SAVE & EXIT"
to reboot the system.
